![]() The first step I took in an effort to resolve the issue was to uninstall several unneeded programs (Apple software installed when an iPhone had been connected) which had been installed right around the time the freezes began. For example, several freezes have occurred today and the log summary show 0 errors in the past 24 hours. ![]() The System Logs are not showing any errors or warnings created when the freezes occur. NO MATTER HOW LONG SHE WAITS when a freeze occurs, 5 seconds or 15 minutes, the computer remains frozen until hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del, when it immediately becomes responsive again. At the beginning of this issue, this was occurring 3 or 4 times daily. 10th or so, it began exhibiting random freezes, where all open applications became unresponsive.īeing tech savvy, when a freeze occurred the user hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to access Task Manager, and found that the act of hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del by itself caused the computer to resume being responsive, and she was able to continue working. A small business client has an HP ProBook 470 G4 running Windows 10 Pro 64, in a workgroup, no domain. ![]()
